President's Day!

There's so many fun things you can do to learn about the Presidents and celebrate President's Day, but we just did a couple of simple things this year. I think in a few years the kids will be more ready to tackle the information, but for now we just stuck to knowing that George Washington & Abraham Lincoln were presidents and they each did special things to help our country. We did this color by number of George Washington and then did a paper plate craft to make his face! Things always look cuter on Pinterest...but oh well, they had fun :-)

Since we lived in a country that had a king (Jordan) for several years, it was a great springboard for discussion about the differences between a king and a president. They were asking some great questions! I love curious little minds :-)

Featured - Winter Mystery Picture Graphs

I've just finished a new set of Mystery Picture Graphs for Winter/the New Year. These are made by coloring in the squares using the coordinates given on the alphanumeric grid! Everyone has given great feedback about these graphs and buyers unanimously say, "The kids loved it!"

Halloween Hundreds Chart Mystery Pictures

I'm not a fan of Halloween. The ghosts, witches, scariness...I just don't like it! We still let our kids dress up in costumes, but we go to our church's Fall Festival for games and treats instead of trick-or-treating. Anyway....I wanted to do some more hundreds chart pictures that were themed for the upcoming holidays, so I came up with some for the month of October that could go with a Halloween theme, but aren't scary.  The pictures are a pumpkin, bat, candy corn, owl, and spider.

Wednesday Freebie

Throughout the summer I am going to try to post a new freebie every week! Some weeks I'll post great freebies from other people, but this week I've got one of my own. I make alot of things for my 5 year old at home, but I also have some stuff for older kids too. The most popular items that I've had on TpT have been the Mystery Picture Graphs which are best for grades 2-5. So the freebie for this week is a brand new mystery picture! This would go great with a lesson on Memorial Day, the 4th of July, or any other patriotic theme!
